PPG Seal Grip® Alkyd Universal Primer is a versatile oil-based primer for new or previously coated interior and exterior wood. Its powerful sealing action blocks water, smoke, and tannin stains, preventing bleed-through and ensuring a flawless topcoat. For heavily stained surfaces, two coats may be necessary. One gallon covers up to 400 square feet and allows for recoating in 4-6 hours. It is especially recommended for priming exterior cedar shingles and redwood clapboards.
